Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone team, along with Mangalhat police, caught three people involved in a cricket betting racket. The police seized ₹1,04,000 in cash and six mobile phones. The total value of the items is around ₹3 lakh.

The people arrested were Vicky Singh (38), who worked as a bookie, V Rakesh (39), a sub-bookie, and B Sandeep (26), a punter. All of them were living in the Mangalhat area.

The police said that the group was accepting bets on IPL 2025 matches. They got special phone lines, known as line numbers, from a main bookie named Shailender from Chennai. Using these line numbers, they took live match bets from people at a place called Nala Machilipura in Dhoolpet.
