Hyderabad: The Cybercrime Police are preparing to deliver a major blow to I Bomma Ravi. They are ready to arrest him in other pending cases as well. Five cases have been filed against Ravi. He was already arrested based on a complaint from the Piracy Cell. For the remaining cases, the police have requested a PT warrant from the court. Four additional cases have been registered following complaints from producers.
Ravi is known to be a key player in a piracy network that caused a stir in the Telugu states. He was arrested in Kukatpally for creating websites named I Bomma, Bappam, I Win, and I Radha TV. These platforms were used to distribute pirated movies and web series for the past seven years.
During the arrest, authorities seized ₹3 crore in cash, hundreds of hard disks, computers, and cell phones from Ravi’s apartment. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating whether there was any money laundering involved, as massive transactions were reportedly conducted through betting apps.
