The Commissioner of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation held a comprehensive review meeting with municipal officials to evaluate the current state of sanitation management and solid waste management operations across the city. The meeting focused on identifying gaps in service delivery and implementing stricter measures to enhance cleanliness standards throughout the jurisdiction.

During the review, the Commissioner issued specific directives to ensure daily operations of SAT Autos and systematic monitoring of sanitation staff attendance. Officials were instructed to submit penalty reports in a timely manner and enforce the “No Bin – No Trade” policy with strict adherence. The policy aims to ensure that commercial establishments maintain proper waste disposal facilities as a prerequisite for conducting business.

The Commissioner also mandated joint inspections in collaboration with HMWSSB (Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board) and directed officials to complete ward-level reviews across all zones by the end of June. These inspections are designed to assess ground-level implementation of sanitation protocols and identify areas requiring immediate intervention.

Special attention was given to the implementation of four-way waste segregation, which categorizes waste into Dry Waste, Wet Waste, Sanitary Waste, and Special Care Waste. This segregation method is crucial for effective waste processing and recycling. The meeting also addressed the need for improved collection mechanisms for Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste and other bulk waste through better planning and enhanced service delivery systems.

The Commissioner emphasized the critical importance of accountability and field-level monitoring to ensure compliance with established protocols. Officials were reminded of their responsibility to strictly adhere to Solid Waste Management Rules to strengthen cleanliness, promote environmental sustainability, and maintain public health standards across Cyberabad.
