Hyderabad has taken a strong step to improve women’s safety. The Cyberabad Police have added 12 new Honda Activa scooters to help their SHE Teams patrol more effectively.
These scooters will help officers move quickly, especially to areas where women and children may be at risk. With better mobility, SHE Teams can act faster to prevent crimes and ensure public safety.
On Friday, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, Joint Commissioner of Traffic Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, and officials from Bhagyanagar Gas Ltd (BGL) officially launched the vehicles. The scooters were donated by BGL as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
The donation was made through the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC). Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, who also heads the SCSC, said the move strengthens the collaboration between the police and private organizations.
With these new scooters, SHE Teams will be more visible and can respond faster to emergencies. It also supports better coordination between the Cyberabad police, SCSC, and BGL, all working together to make the city safer.
This initiative shows how public and private sectors can join forces to improve community safety and empower women.
