Senior Congress leader D Srinivas has been admitted to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad. His health condition is critically ill.
According to the hospital authorities, Srinivas was admitted with complaints of difficulty in breathing and altered sensorium. He has been diagnosed with septic shock with multi organ dysfunction. Currently, he is in the intensive care unit and his condition is critically ill.
Srinivas was the senior most Congress leader in Telangana state. After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, he joined BRS and was nominated as a Rajya Sabha MP. However, he recently quit BRS and stated that he will continue in Congress.
