Asifabad: BRS Party Highlights Welfare Achievements and Criticizes Congress Government
Former MLC Naradasu Laxmana Rao criticized the Congress government, claiming it undid ten years of progress in just ten months. On Friday, the “Deeksha Divas” program was organized by the BRS party’s state committee at the district headquarters. Local MLA Kova Laxmi participated in the event, which began with tributes to martyrs at the Children’s Park.
The leaders then proceeded to garland the statue of Telangana Thalli near the bus stand. Following this, they reached the party office, where the BRS party flag was hoisted. As part of the ceremony, milk was poured over a portrait of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) as a gesture of respect.
Speaking to party workers, Naradasu Laxmana Rao expressed confidence that the BRS party would regain power in the upcoming elections. He praised KCR for his dedication to the welfare of Telangana’s people and for his pivotal role in the state’s formation. Rao lauded KCR’s bold leadership and referred to November 29 as a historic day for Telangana.
MLA Kova Laxmi urged party members to spread awareness in villages about the Congress government’s failure to deliver on its “six guarantees.” She also emphasized the importance of showcasing the welfare schemes introduced by KCR during his decade-long tenure.
The event concluded with MLA Kova Laxmi dancing alongside women to Bathukamma and Telangana folk songs. A screen presentation was also used to highlight the welfare initiatives implemented during KCR’s leadership.
