The Sikh community in New Delhi is known for their selfless help to people. They are now introducing a new facility at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib that will greatly assist the poor and disabled people. This facility will provide cancer screening, which was previously inaccessible to many due to financial constraints.

Cancer treatment is expensive, making it difficult for poor and disabled patients to receive necessary tests. The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee plans to install a PET scan equipment at Guru Harkrishan Polyclinic and Gurdwara Bangla Sahib Delhi. This equipment, created by the LSO Crystal manufacturer in the United States, has received all necessary government permissions for installation.

The installation process will take two months, after which the Sangat will be able to undergo cancer tests at the facility. The machine can assess 120 patients per week and generate reports quickly using waves for testing. It has 16 slim CT scanners that can scan the whole body.

The Delhi Gurdwara Committee is installing this machine to provide improved medical facilities in response to the increasing cases of cancer due to changing technology and pollution. The polyclinic already offers medical services such as CT scan, mammography, and contemporary digital lab. Steps are also being taken to provide free dialysis services to patients at Bala Sahib Hospital, and CT scans are available for Rs 50 at Guru Harkrishan Polyclinic.
