    Gadwal: Jogulamba Zone Deputy Inspector General (DIG) L. S. Chauhan visited several police offices and stations in the area. He was accompanied by Superintendent of Police (SP) T. Srinivas Rao during the inspection. The DIG visited the Alampur Circle Office, Itikyala Police Station, the District Superintendent of Police (DSP) office, and the district police headquarters.

    During his visit, DIG Chauhan checked important police records such as the Circle Information Book, Crime Digest Register, Government Property Register, and Petition Register. He highlighted the need for a quick response to Dial 100 emergency calls. He instructed Alampur Circle Inspector (CI) Ravi Babu to ensure continuous patrolling with Blue Colts and patrol cars, and to regularly inspect police stations within the circle. The DIG also asked the CI to closely monitor the performance of police officers.

    At the Itikyala Police Station, Chauhan reviewed records like the General Diary, Duty Roster, Village Roster, and the Suspect Check Register. He ensured that all important registers were being maintained properly.

    In Gadwal, at the DSP office, the DIG focused on records related to SC/ST atrocity cases and other key documents. He inspected different registers, including the Crime Register, Grave Case Register, Minor PR Register, and FSL Report Register. He also looked into the performance of the SHE Team, which focuses on women’s safety, and stressed the importance of keeping accurate records.

    DIG Chauhan emphasized the need to implement the 5S methodology, a system for organizing workplaces, and functional vertical management in all police stations. He advised Sub-Inspectors (SI) and Circle Inspectors (CI) to regularly review ongoing cases and hold frequent meetings to track progress.

    At the district police headquarters, Chauhan reviewed records from various sections including Special Branch (SB), District Crime Records Bureau (DCRB), Headquarter Platoon Records, and others. SP T. Srinivas Rao briefed him on the measures taken by the district police to maintain peace and security.

    Several officials were present during the DIG’s visit, including DSP K. Satyanarayana, Administrative Officer (AO) Satish Kumar, Armed Forces DSP Narender Rao, Alampur CI Ravi Babu, and Shantinagar CI Nageshwar Reddy.
