The missing hard disks and backup data related to the phone tapping case have become a major issue in state politics. There is suspicion that they may be hidden at a secret location in the farmhouse of former chief minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who went to Delhi to invite Sonia Gandhi and other Congress leaders for Formation Day celebrations, mentioned in an informal chat with the media that investigating authorities are looking into the possibility of the missing data being kept in KCR’s farmhouse. It was revealed that some important data from the hard disks was tampered with, and that this data can only be retrieved from the backup files.

Revanth clarified that he did not monitor the case’s progress due to election restrictions and campaign commitments. He emphasized that unlike the previous government, the Congress government does not support phone tapping. Interestingly, BRS leaders like K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, who usually call for CBI probes into various issues, have not demanded a similar investigation into this scandal.
