Rice Millers Asked to Speed Up Rice Delivery
Gadwal District Additional Collector Lakshminarayana has instructed rice millers to quickly deliver Custom Milled Rice (CMR) without any delay.
On Friday, he held a meeting with 37 rice millers at the IDOC office to discuss the delivery of paddy for the Kharif 2024-25 season. He urged them to process and supply the stored paddy on time. He explained that delivering CMR rice quickly is important to ensure food security for the poor through government welfare schemes.
The Additional Collector also emphasized the need for the timely delivery of fine rice to meet distribution needs. He asked the millers to submit any pending bank guarantees related to the Kharif 2024-25 procurement.
Additionally, he directed District Task Force (DT) officials to inspect rice mills regularly. This will help prevent delays and ensure that the supply process runs smoothly.
The meeting was attended by District Supply Officer (DSO) Swami Kumar, District Manager Vimala, rice millers, and other officials.
