Gadwal Launches Four Welfare Schemes on Republic Day

On Sunday, District Collector BM Santosh and Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy inaugurated four welfare schemes in different villages of Gadwal district. The inauguration took place in Alwalapadu village of Dharur Mandal, Umitayala village of KT Doddi Mandal, and Aragidda village of Gattu Mandal. Beneficiaries received sanction letters for the schemes, and a video message from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was also shared during the event.

The District Collector expressed his happiness at launching these welfare programs on Republic Day. He explained that the government aims to provide welfare schemes to all eligible families without interruption. To ensure transparency, one village from each of the 13 revenue mandals in the district was chosen for the ceremonial launch. Applications received during village meetings were carefully reviewed, followed by field inspections. The final list of beneficiaries was approved during village assemblies.

Under the Rythu Bharosa and Indiramma Aathmeya Bharosa schemes, Rs. 6,000 will be deposited into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts starting tomorrow. The Indiramma Housing Scheme, designed to eliminate hut dwellings, will offer Rs. 5 lakh in financial assistance for building homes. This amount will be disbursed in four installments through an online system. Additionally, Rs. 12,000 will be provided under the Indiramma Aathmeya Bharosa scheme. For ration cards, the Collector assured that new cards would be issued to eligible individuals through a transparent process involving surveys, applications via Mee Seva, and village-level approvals.

Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy praised the Telangana government for its efforts to support citizens. He noted that two of the six promises made by the state—free bus travel for women and Rs. 500 subsidized LPG cylinders—have already been implemented. The four schemes launched on Sunday ensure that every eligible beneficiary will receive sanction letters. The MLA emphasized the government’s commitment to providing ration cards, affordable rice for the poor, and housing assistance worth Rs. 5 lakh under the Indiramma Housing Scheme to help the homeless achieve their dream of owning a home.

The event was attended by Market Yard Chairman Nalla Hanumanthu, Mandal Special Officers Shakeela Bhanu, Govind Naik, Akbar Basha, Ramesh Babu, MPDOs, public representatives, and local residents.
