In Telangana state, the government has ordered strict action against the sale of adulterated seeds to farmers. A team of 10 people, led by SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, has been formed to monitor the situation in Nagarkurnool district.
The team, along with the Agriculture Officer, will inspect fertilizer shops in the district to ensure that only quality seeds are being sold to farmers. District SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath warned that legal action will be taken against anyone found selling adulterated seeds to farmers.
The monitoring team is led by CCS CI Shankar and includes officers like Vangur SI Mahender, Tadur SI Mahesh, and Lingala SI Jagan Mohan. Other police personnel are also part of the team.
