The national president of the Congress party, Mallikarjuna Kharge, will decide the Chief Minister candidate, according to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Shivakumar stated that he gathered the opinions of the party MLAs and conveyed them to the elders of Delhi. He clarified that his responsibility is only to report the CLP’s opinion. Party President Kharge will make decisions regarding the Telangana Chief Minister candidate and other issues.
Earlier in the day, AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge announced that a decision would be made on Tuesday. The I.N.D.I.A alliance meeting is currently taking place in Kharge Chamber. Kharge spoke prior to this meeting.
