Senior Congress leader Uttam Kumar Reddy refused to comment on the question of who will be the Chief Minister of Telangana. He traveled to Delhi with Bhatti Vikramarka to discuss the CM selection with party leadership. Uttam held meetings with several senior leaders, including Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. After a one-and-a-half-hour discussion with Shivakumar, Uttam briefly spoke to the media. He stated that the party MLAs’ views have been conveyed to the high command and that the decision of selecting the CM lies with them. When asked about the finalized CM candidate, Uttam declined to comment and left. Following his meeting with Uttam, DK Shivakumar went to meet Congress Party chief Mallikarjuna Kharge to inform him, Rahul Gandhi, and KC Venugopal about the opinions of Telangana MLAs.
