    Nagarkurnool: On Saturday, District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr. Swarajya Lakshmi carried out a surprise inspection of the Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in Peddur and Boppalli under Telkapally Mandal. During her visit, she checked vaccination records and health service logs to ensure proper functioning of the centers.

    Dr. Swarajya Lakshmi highlighted the need to increase the number of normal deliveries at both Peddur and Boppalli PHCs. She directed the health staff to create detailed delivery plans for every pregnant woman under their care. Additionally, ASHA workers were instructed to ensure that all children listed as due for vaccinations are brought to the vaccine center and receive their required vaccines. She also insisted that vaccination details be updated promptly on the UVIN online portal.

    The DMHO stressed the importance of punctuality among medical staff and warned that negligence in providing medical services would not be tolerated. Staff members who arrived late for duty at the Peddur and Boppalli PHCs were issued warnings, and disciplinary action was announced for those failing to adhere to their responsibilities.

    At the Boppalli PHC, the medical officer was found to be absent. In his absence, Dr. Swarajya Lakshmi stepped in to personally attend to patients and conducted medical examinations, ensuring that care was not disrupted.

    The inspection was attended by key officials, including District Immunization Officer Dr. Ravi Kumar Naik, DPO Renayya, medical officers from Ambatipally and Lingala, D.V.L.M. Kumar, pharmacist Srinivasulu, A.P.O. Rajesh, and other supervisory and medical staff. Their participation underscored the importance of maintaining high standards in healthcare services across the district.
