Dr. Bangari Rajani Priyadarshini was honored with the Times of India Healthcare Icon Award 2025 for her exceptional work in infertility medicine in Telangana.

Each year, this award is given to notable doctors for their significant contributions to medicine within the state. Doctors involved in social services alongside their medical careers are chosen for this honor. This year, Dr. Rajani Priyadarshini, who leads Rajani Fertility Centre in Karimnagar and is the Managing Director of Rene Hospital, received the award from Dr. Nageshwar Rao, Chairman of L.V. Prasad Eye Hospital, during a ceremony in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

In her speech, Dr. Rajani highlighted that childlessness is a major issue for today’s youth. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise to combat this problem. To honor her mother-in-law, K.S. Bangari Lakshmi, Dr. Rajani offers free infertility treatment to ten couples each year.

Dr. Rajani expressed her joy at receiving the award, noting her humble beginnings from a middle-class family. She acknowledged the increased responsibility that comes with the recognition. She thanked her husband, Professor Dr. Bangari Swamy, for his constant support, as well as her family’s encouragement and her parents’ blessings. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Bangari Swamy, Chairman of Rene Hospital, congratulated her.
