    Hyderabad: The State Education Department has partnered with six major organizations to provide free advanced technology-based teaching to students in government schools. This new initiative seeks to enhance educational facilities through collaboration with recognized national and international organizations.

    The agreement was made with prominent groups, including the Exstep Foundation, led by Nandan Nilekani; Prajwala Foundation, headed by Dr. Sunita Krishnan; Physics Wala, led by Alak Pandey; Khan Academy; Pi Jam Foundation, founded by Shoaib Dar; and Educate Girls, led by Safina Hussain.

    On Sunday, the Telangana Education Department announced that this collaboration aims to bring transformative changes to the state’s education sector, aligning with the Chief Minister’s vision for better educational quality. The government initiatives have attracted these organizations to work with the state.

    The Exstep Foundation will start in 540 schools using an AI-based platform, planning to expand to over 5,000 primary schools in 33 districts. They will teach in Telugu and English, covering basic Math for students in classes 3 to 5.

    Physics Wala will offer free training for intermediate students preparing for exams like NEET, JEE, and CLAT. Khan Academy will provide video-based STEM education for students in classes 6 to 10, aligned with the curriculum.

    The Prajwala Foundation, under Dr. Sunita Krishnan, will implement child safety programs for students from class 6 to 12. Pi Jam Foundation will teach coding and computational thinking to students from classes 1 to 10.

    Educate Girls has successfully enrolled over 16,000 out-of-school children, significantly improving literacy and educational opportunities for girls in the state.

    Key attendees at the signing ceremony included Government Advisor K Kesava Rao, Education Secretary Yogitharana, Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, School Education Director Narasimha Reddy, Director of School Education Naveen Nicholas, and Education Department Special Secretary Haritha. Leaders from the partnering organizations were also present, including Xstep Foundation CEO Jagadish Babu, Prajwala Foundation Chief Dr. Sunita Krishnan, Physics Wala Co-Founder Prateek Maheshwari, Khan Academy India MD Swati Vasudevan, Pi Jam Foundation Founder Shoaib Dar, and Educate Girls CEO Gayatri Nair Lobo.
