Hyderabad: State Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that schools and colleges in Hyderabad and nearby districts will have holidays due to heavy rains over the past two days.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, the minister explained that district collectors have been instructed to decide whether to declare holidays for educational institutions in their areas based on the severity of the rainfall. The state government is concerned about students’ safety and does not want them to take risks by attending school in such weather conditions.
