    Hyderabad witnessed a proud moment for Estonia as Eliise Randmaa, representing the country in the 72nd Miss World Sports Challenge 2025, won the gold medal. The event took place at Gachibowli Stadium on Saturday. This is a major achievement for Estonia, marking its first advancement to the next round of Miss World since 1999. With this win, Eliise also secured a spot among Europe’s top 10 quarterfinalists.

    Aurélie Joachim, who represented Martinique, gave a powerful performance and earned the silver medal. Her win brought joy and recognition to the Caribbean Island. Emma Morrison from Canada showed strong athletic skills and claimed the bronze medal. Her standout moment came during the Miss World badminton tournament.

    Just missing a medal but catching everyone’s attention was Anna-Lise Nanton from Trinidad & Tobago. Her determination and spirit earned her fourth place and admiration from the audience.

    The Miss World Sports Challenge plays a key role in selecting the top 40 quarterfinalists for the pageant. This year, 108 contestants from around the world competed. They were divided into four regional teams:

    Team 1: Americas & Caribbean
    Team 2: Africa
    Team 3: Europe
    Team 4: Asia & Oceania

    This format brought a sense of unity and friendly rivalry among the participants.

    The day began with spectacular performances by top Indian athletes. Highlights included a traditional Mallakhamb display by Rishabh Ulhas Ghubde and Sanavi Vaibhav Desai, both national gold medalists. Then came flawless floor routines by Nishka Agarwal and P Surabhi Prasanna, winners at the National Games and Khelo India Games.

    The Sports Challenge was officially opened by Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna. Also present was Rajeev Shukla, Vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

    Contestants took part in a wide range of physical and mental challenges. Events included badminton, shot put, chess, basketball, penalty shoot-outs, shuttle runs, and more. The day ended with a thrilling sprint, a high-energy Zumba session, and a colorful closing ceremony.

    This year’s Sports Challenge not only celebrated athletic talent but also highlighted the global spirit of the Miss World event.
