The City of Pearls is hosting a 10-day Iranian Food Festival at the Park Hyderabad, Somajiguda. This festival celebrates cultural diversity and offers a taste of Iranian cuisine through a collaboration between the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad and the CD Foundation.
The festival kicked off with an inauguration by Mohsen Moghaddami, Consular Assistant of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad. Four master chefs from Iran, along with the chefs at Park Hotel, will showcase authentic Iranian flavors and culinary secrets during the event.
Mohsen Moghaddami highlighted the festival’s importance in promoting cultural understanding between India and Iran. The festival will feature traditional Iranian dishes like kebabs, rice dishes, and Persian desserts, providing attendees with a unique gastronomic experience.
Charu Das, director of CD Foundation, emphasized the festival’s commitment to authenticity and cultural immersion. The chefs have sourced herbs and spices directly from Iran to ensure an authentic taste experience. Cultural displays and activities will also showcase the rich heritage and traditions of Iran.
In addition to the culinary offerings, the festival aims to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Iran. The event will include a fashion show featuring 16 women designers at the Hans Abar Awards on February 19, promoting tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between the two nations.
The Iranian Food Festival offers visitors a chance to explore Iranian cuisine and culture while experiencing the warmth and hospitality synonymous with Iranian tradition. Throughout the 10-day event, attendees can enjoy not only delicious food but also engage in a cultural journey celebrating the flavors of Iran in Hyderabad.
