Kiran Abbavaram, a Telugu actor, shared a personal story at the Traffic Summit-2025 in Hyderabad. He revealed that he lost his brother in a road accident, which made him realize the importance of road safety. Before this incident, he ignored traffic rules, but the tragedy changed his mindset completely.
At the event, where Kiran was the chief guest, he spoke about the importance of safe driving. He said he always thinks of his family when driving, reminding himself to get home safely. He encouraged young people to follow traffic rules responsibly.
Kiran ended his speech with a strong message: “Do not risk others’ lives for your fun and enjoyment.”
The Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC) and Hyderabad City Police hosted the Traffic Summit-2025 at Jal Vihar, Necklace Road. The two-day event gathered policymakers, industry leaders, traffic experts, and others to discuss urban transportation and road safety solutions.
Jishnu Dev Varma, the Governor of Telangana, opened the summit. He emphasized that road safety aims to ensure children return home safely, patients reach hospitals on time, and people travel without stress.
CV Anand, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, highlighted the city’s traffic challenges, noting there are 92 lakh vehicles and 1,500 new ones added daily. The summit tackled these issues, exploring advanced technologies like modern signal systems, VIP convoy management, drone monitoring, and the use of AI with Google.
He mentioned that the HCSC acts as a link between society, lawmakers, and industries to develop innovative public safety and traffic management solutions.
Notable attendees included C Sekhar Reddy, Secretary General of HCSC, Vikram Singh Maan, Additional CP, V Rajasekhar Reddy, Joint Secretary of Traffic Forum, Telugu actor Sai Dharam Tej, and other officials from Traffic and L&O departments.
