A massive fire broke out on Wednesday night at an incense stick storage and manufacturing unit in Sitaramaraju Nagar basti, located in the Gudimalkapur area of Hyderabad.
The flames quickly spread through the warehouse and destroyed the entire facility. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.
Early reports suggest the fire may have started due to an electrical short circuit. The godown sits close to a densely populated neighborhood, which made the situation even more dangerous.
As soon as the fire started, workers inside the building managed to escape. Nearby residents, alarmed by the thick smoke and bright flames, called emergency services without delay.
Firefighters reached the spot quickly and battled the blaze for about an hour. Despite their efforts, the structure suffered heavy damage before the flames were brought under control.
Local police from Gudimalkapur have started a full investigation to find out what exactly caused the fire and to calculate the total damage.
