    The state cabinet is meeting for the first time in the new B R Ambedkar Secretariat building on Wednesday. They will review the progress of schemes like Gruha Lakshmi and finalize rules for a housing scheme to give Rs 3 lakh to poor people who have land. They will also talk about the 21-day celebration of the state’s formation day starting on June 2 and the recent Karnataka elections. They will discuss other issues like contract worker regularization, Dalit Bandhu benefits, the government’s relationship with the Governor, and a sheep distribution program. The ministers will be asked to monitor ongoing schemes in their districts and explain them to people. The government wants to publish information on their schemes to counter opposition attacks before elections in six months.
