Flag Off of ‘Mahalaxmi’ Scheme in Kothagudem

The District Collector, Dr Priyanka Ala, has launched the ‘Mahalaxmi Scheme’ in Kothagudem. As part of this scheme, she has also announced the expansion of the Rajiv Arogyashri medical aid to 10 lakhs. This means that corporate medical services will now be available free of cost to all those who need it. The announcement was made at the Mata Shishu Arogya Kendra in Ramavaram.

Dr Ala mentioned that the Rajiv Arogyashri services are currently available in 9 government and 4 private hospitals within the district. This expansion of medical aid will benefit a total of 2,93,806 eligible individuals in the district. The increase in medical aid is expected to have a positive impact on health outcomes. The availability of dialysis services in 5 government hospitals has also been highlighted, further strengthening healthcare provisions for the residents of the district.
