Two forest officers in Khammam district were caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe. The incident happened on Tuesday at Komararam in Yellandu mandal.

The accused officers, Komararam forest range officer Uday Kiran and forest beat officer Nunavath Harilal, had demanded ₹50,000 from a contractor. The bribe was for allowing the mining and transportation of gravel for road construction.

The contractor, however, decided to report the matter to the ACB. He agreed to pay ₹30,000 and informed the officials about the demand.
