Nalgonda: Former Nalgonda MLA Kancharla Bhupal Reddy has said that they will respect the Telangana High Court’s decision about the BRS party office in Nalgonda. However, he urged that the office should not be demolished until the court gives its final ruling.

At a press meeting held at the BRS Party Office in VT Colony, Nalgonda, on Thursday, Bhupal Reddy, along with other leaders like former ZP Chairman Banda Narender Reddy, Cheruku Sudhakar Niranjanvali, and Cheera Pankaj Yadav, explained the situation. They had bought one acre of land from an Agro Company, following all rules and with approval from the then state cabinet.

Bhupal Reddy accused Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy of targeting their party. He claimed that after the new government came to power, the minister instructed officials to demolish the party office out of spite.

He added that they had submitted all necessary documents to the municipality and requested permission to build the office. However, they were misled into believing that no permission could be granted for any party office.

The former MLA stated that when the municipality served them notices, they offered to pay fines and again sought permission. But their request was denied, allegedly due to the minister’s orders. With no other option, they approached the High Court, but the ruling did not go in their favor.

Bhupal Reddy criticized some Congress leaders, accusing them of attempting to demolish the office with JCBs and bulldozers even before getting an official copy of the court’s judgment.

He said they plan to appeal to a higher court as soon as they receive the judgment copy. He also requested officials to hold off on demolishing the office until then. Bhupal Reddy even suggested that the District Collector could use the party office for government meetings in the meantime.

Lastly, he questioned if the same rules would apply to all party offices in the district, noting that none of them have official permissions. He also criticized Congress leaders for using the same “bulldozer culture” that they usually blame the BJP for.
