Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy announced the government’s full backing for businesses driven by women’s skills and entrepreneurship.
On Friday, he attended the “Aakanksha Haat – Exhibition & Sale” at Anantha Convention Hall in Gadwal. This event was part of the NITI Aayog–Aspirational Blocks Programme and organized by women’s self-help groups.
The MLA admired the craftsmanship and creativity of women’s products like handloom fabrics, Gadwal silk sarees, organic goods, eco-friendly products, handicrafts, and food items. He encouraged these talented women to reach markets beyond Gadwal, highlighting their exceptional skills.
He promised government support for women entrepreneurs to set up stalls wherever needed. Through the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), necessary loans would be provided. He also committed to helping women sell their products in Hyderabad, not just Gadwal. “Empowering women economically benefits society as a whole,” he remarked.
Krishna Mohan Reddy later toured the stalls, appreciating the women’s work. He noted that women are playing a vital role in the state’s economic growth, not limited to household duties. Their efforts bolster the rural economy, and the government will continue to support their business endeavors.
The event saw participation from District Additional Collector Narsinga Rao, Municipal Commissioner Janaki Ram, District Animal Husbandry Officer Venkateshwarlu, GM Industries Ram Lingeshwar Goud, Mission Bhagiratha EE Sridhar Reddy, women’s groups from all municipalities, MEPMA staff from four municipalities, local public representatives, and more.
