Gadwal: In Jogulamba Gadwal District, Superintendent of Police T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, has instructed police to keep a close watch at border checkpoints. This is to stop illegal movement of urea and other fertilizers from Telangana to nearby states.

On Tuesday evening, the SP inspected a checkpoint near Nagul Dinne Bridge in Ieeja Mandal. This spot is on the Telangana–Andhra Pradesh border where measures are taken against smuggling activities.

SP Srinivasa Rao pointed out that Telangana offers urea to farmers at lower prices. It’s vital to ensure these supplies don’t get diverted illegally to other states. To tackle this, a new checkpoint is active at Nagul Dinne Bridge, where both police and agriculture officials are conducting joint checks.
