Hyderabad: The NITI Aayog has announced the Delta Rankings for the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) for the fourth quarter of 2024–25. Ghattu Block in Jogulamba Gadwal District achieved the 5th spot among 500 blocks nationwide and ranked 2nd in Zone 3, which includes Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
Due to this remarkable achievement, Ghattu Block received a reward of Rs 1 crore from NITI Aayog. The rankings were revealed during a virtual national event attended by all 500 blocks across the country.
The Delta Ranking measures progress based on 39 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), divided into five main areas: Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture & Allied Services, Basic Infrastructure, and Social Development.
From October–December 2024 to January–March 2025, Ghattu Block’s score increased from 61.24 to 69.43, showing an impressive improvement of 8.19% in just one quarter.
District Collector Santhosh B M praised the efforts of Block Officers and frontline workers. He highlighted the role of effective coordination, real-time data monitoring, and inter-departmental collaboration in achieving this success. “This honor reflects the hard work of our grassroots officers committed to fulfilling all KPIs,” said the Collector.
To celebrate these achievements, success stories from top-performing blocks will feature on the ‘Wall of Fame’ at NITI Aayog in New Delhi. This platform honors excellence and innovation, aiming to inspire a developed Viksit Bharat by 2047.
