Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) announced that all cattle slaughterhouses and retail beef shops in its area must close on August 15 and 16. These closures are due to Independence Day and Sri Krishna Janmashtami. The decision falls under Section 533 (b) of the GHMC Act-155.
GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan has requested the police commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda to ensure their officers support municipal authorities in enforcing this order effectively.
