Hyderabad: A group of students is facing charges after using swords at a birthday party in Syedaliguda, Asifnagar. The event, held on Monday night, caused disruption with loud DJ music and the display of weapons.

Videos of the students cutting cakes and dancing with swords quickly spread on social media. This led the police to act on their own initiative, registering a case under relevant laws.

The incident, which took place on Monday, only gained attention on Wednesday due to the viral videos. More than ten young people, mainly students, were involved in the celebration.

Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the party’s organizer, Mohammed Fazal, on several charges. Asifnagar Inspector N Anand confirmed that an FIR is in place and an investigation is ongoing. Since many involved are minors, the police are consulting legal experts to decide the appropriate action.
