The GHMC Commissioner, Ronald Rose, has instructed sanitation officials to gradually eliminate garbage at Vulnerable Points (GVP) throughout Hyderabad. This decision was made during a review meeting on developmental works in the Serilingampally zone.

During the meeting, the Commissioner assessed the sanitation work in various circles, including Yousufguda, Serilingampally, Chandanagar, Ramchandrapura, and Patancheruvu. The review covered topics such as garbage collection to Secondary Collection Centres and Transfer Points (SCTPs), the number of vehicles operating in each circle, the removal of Construction and Demolition (C&D) material, the number of Sanitary Field Assistants (SFA), the number of sanitation workers, and their attendance at GVPs in the Serilingampally zone.

Ronald Rose instructed officials to collaborate with resource persons from MEPMA to conduct Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities in colonies. The goal is to gradually eliminate GVPs and provide dustbins in gated communities for convenient garbage collection at the source. The Commissioner also emphasized the need to eliminate unused public toilets.

Previously, Commissioner Ronald Rose, along with Zonal Commissioner Serilingampally Sneha Shabharish and Additional Commissioner Sanitation Upender Reddy, inspected engineering works such as boundary walls, walkways, and sanitation in and around Durgam Cheruvu. Deputy Commissioners, Joint Commissioner Sanitation, and other senior officials from Engineering UBD and the Sanitation Wing participated in the program.
