    Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner, Ilambarti, attended the Prajavani program on Monday and instructed officials to quickly address the complaints raised by citizens. A total of 126 applications regarding various issues across the GHMC area were received during the session.

    At the GHMC headquarters, 46 complaints were submitted. Among these, 21 were related to the town planning department. Five complaints each were linked to the health and family welfare department. Other issues included four grievances for the electrical department and two each for the sports, chief engineer maintenance, estate, labor, and housing departments. Additionally, one grievance was submitted to the vigilance department.

    Apart from the headquarters, 80 complaints were categorized as zonal-based issues. Out of these, 33 complaints came from the Kukatpally zone, nine from the Serilingampally zone, 14 from the LB Nagar zone, 21 from the Secunderabad zone, and three from the Charminar zone. Interestingly, no complaints were received from the Khairtabad zone during this session.

    In addition, three requests were submitted through the Prajavani phone-in program. All the complaints and requests were forwarded to the respective departments for resolution as directed by the GHMC Commissioner.
