Local police were informed of the incident and arrived to investigate the cause of the lift’s malfunction. Initial findings suggest that poor maintenance and violations of safety protocols at the apartment building may have contributed to the accident. The incident has sparked concerns among residents about the maintenance of lifts and other essential facilities in their buildings. Many have emphasized the need for regular inspections and strict adherence to safety standards to prevent similar accidents. Residents are urging authorities to take swift action to ensure all lifts in the area undergo proper and timely maintenance.

This isn’t the first time such an incident has occurred in Hyderabad. In August, a 65-year-old man tragically lost his life after falling into a lift duct in another apartment building. It was believed that the man accidentally opened a door to the lift shaft without realizing the lift compartment was not present, leading to a fatal fall.
