Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has gained international acclaim once more at the Skytrax World Airport Awards. GHIAL was awarded the ‘Best Airport Staff in India & South Asia 2026’ title by Skytrax. This marks the fifth time the airport has received this prestigious honor, showcasing its dedication to excellent passenger service through superior hospitality and efficiency.
The award was presented at a ceremony during the Passenger Terminal EXPO 2026 in London. Hyderabad Airport was distinguished among top airports in India and South Asia for its commitment to providing a smooth and enjoyable travel experience. The Skytrax recognition stems from extensive global passenger surveys evaluating staff service quality, including friendliness, professionalism, and efficiency at key points like check-in, security, and boarding.
Furthermore, Hyderabad Airport earned the titles of 2nd Best Regional Airport and 3rd Best Airport in India & South Asia. It also ranked 8th globally in the 20–30 million passengers per annum (MPPA) category for 2026.
