Government aims to offer effective governance: Vivekanand

Mancherial: Minister Gaddam Vivekanand distributed 423 approval papers for the Indiramma Housing scheme in Kotapalli mandal on Sunday.

The Minister highlighted the government’s dedication to providing efficient public services. The Indiramma Housing Scheme aims to offer homes to all eligible poor individuals. Those who own land and qualify receive financial help. Statewide, 450,000 houses are approved, with 3,500 houses per constituency.

In Chennur constituency, 12,000 applications have been received. Efforts are ongoing to ensure all eligible applicants get homes. At his camp office in Chennu, he handed out land documents to 44 more beneficiaries. He assured the public that all eligible people will get homes and advised beneficiaries to build within the 600 sq. ft. limit. He urged them to use the free sand provided and finish construction quickly. Funds will be released in stages: mark-out, basement, lintel, and slab.

Steps are being taken to ensure drinking water availability in Chennur, including installing borewells in dry areas.

Under the Mahalakshmi Scheme, free bus travel for women has been provided. Five buses are sanctioned for the Kotapalli region, allowing women to travel free across the State. For educational growth, an integrated school has been set up in Somanapalli of Chennur, with teachers appointed for quality education and full amenities. CC roads and drainage systems have been built in every village of the constituency. Development projects worth Rs 500 crore are ongoing in Chennur.

The Minister inaugurated a solar RO water plant at the Primary Health Centre in Kotapalli, funded with Rs 5 lakh from SCCL’s CSR funds.

He took part in the Vanamahotsavam 2025 event and planted saplings. The Minister urged officials to coordinate efforts to meet district targets.

To address water needs, the government is installing pipelines, overhead tanks, and maintenance initiatives. The Minister also launched four new RTC buses for the Chennur area, encouraging women and locals to use these facilities.
