M Raghunandan Rao, a senior BJP leader and Lok Sabha candidate for Medak, accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of accumulating loans worth Rs 9,000 crores in just 90 days, worsening the state’s financial situation. He mentioned that the state government relies on central government assistance to pay its employees.
Speaking at a meeting of booth-level presidents in Medak district, Raghunandan Rao criticized the Revanth Reddy administration for not fulfilling promises even after 100 days, despite claiming to have fulfilled all six guarantees within the same timeframe. He criticized the Chief Minister for taking a Rs 9,000 crore loan in just three months and questioned the feasibility of his promise to secure additional funds from Delhi if the Congress wins 17 seats in the state.
The BJP leader also commented on the decline of the BRS party in Telangana and their struggles in finding suitable candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He expressed dissatisfaction with the nomination of former IAS officer Venkat Ram Reddy for the Medak parliamentary constituency, highlighting Ram Reddy’s lack of connection to the region.
