Government not involved in Messi’s match says CM Revanth

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has invited Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and Priyanka Gandhi, AICC General Secretary and Wayanad MP, to attend a highly anticipated football match featuring the legendary Lionel Messi. The event is set for December 13 at the Uppal Stadium.

Reddy mentioned that he extended the invitation to the Congress leaders for Messi’s G.O.A.T. India Tour 2025. He also invited several other individuals he met in Delhi.

Speaking with reporters in New Delhi on Thursday, Revanth Reddy clarified that the state government is not directly involved with Messi’s match.

“The match is organized by a well-known company, which also invited me as a guest,” he said. “As Chief Minister, I will attend the match, and the government will fully support it, as Messi is a legendary player.”

Messi will tour various Indian cities for three days starting December 13, visiting Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi. He will arrive in Hyderabad after his Kolkata visit on December 13. On that day, CM Revanth Reddy will participate in an exhibition match against Messi’s team.
