Medicover Unveils India’s Tallest Hospital Tower in Hyderabad’s Financial District

Medicover Hospitals has opened India’s tallest medical tower in Hyderabad’s Financial District, marking a significant milestone in the country’s healthcare infrastructure. The 25-storey, 82-metre-high facility is now operational in the city’s Kokapet area.

The new hospital tower spans 5 lakh square feet and houses 550 beds, making it one of the largest tertiary care facilities in the region. The infrastructure includes 80 outpatient consultation suites and 13 operating theatres equipped with advanced surgical technology.

Critical care facilities form a major component of the new tower, with a 200-bed ICU featuring modern monitoring and life support systems. The hospital also offers 150 private single-bed rooms designed to provide enhanced privacy and comfort for patients.

Dr. G. Anil Krishna, Chairman & Managing Director of Medicover Hospitals (India), led the development of this facility. The tower represents a strategic expansion of the hospital group’s presence in Hyderabad.

The hospital provides multi-speciality services across key medical disciplines including oncology, cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, transplant medicine, and women’s and children’s health. Advanced diagnostic equipment installed at the facility includes a Biplane Canon Cath Lab, 640-slice CT scanner, 1.5T wide-bore MRI, and the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery system.

The tower will function as a Centre of Excellence for Transplants and Robotic Surgeries, expanding access to specialized treatments for patients across India and international visitors.

The facility incorporates digital health technologies throughout its operations, including real-time health monitoring systems and integrated digital connectivity across all floors. Touchless technologies have been implemented to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.

A 200-seat medical auditorium has been included in the tower’s design to facilitate medical education and training programs. The building also features eco-conscious materials and sustainable design elements.

The hospital has established dedicated services for international patients, including visa coordination, translator services, concierge support, and customized care packages. These services position Hyderabad as a growing destination for medical tourism.

Speaking about the launch, Dr. G. Anil Krishna stated that the Kokapet hospital represents more than infrastructure expansion. He emphasized that the facility aims to combine medical innovation with patient care.

“Our goal was to create a facility where medical innovation and human compassion intersect. With AI-enabled diagnostics, robotic-assisted surgery, and integrated emergency and critical care, this tower brings the future of healthcare to our patients today,” Dr. Krishna said.

He added that the tower will establish a “new benchmark for modern healthcare infrastructure in Hyderabad,” strengthening India’s position as a center for advanced medical care.

The opening of this facility adds to Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a healthcare hub in India. The Financial District location provides accessibility for both local and international patients seeking specialized medical treatments.
