The new government has been in power for two weeks now, and there are already signs of irresponsibility among government officials. In Nagarkurnool, people are facing difficulties because there are no officials available at the Prajavaani programme to listen to their grievances. This has led to a protest by the frustrated people who demanded the presence of the District Collector on Monday.

The District Collector of Nagarkurnool, Uday Kumar, is supposed to conduct public meetings every Monday. However, this week he was noticeably absent, which has caused discontent among the locals. People who went to the Collector’s office hoping to lodge their complaints were surprised to find that there was no one there to address their grievances. The office was empty, with only chairs.
