Hyderabad: To boost innovation and entrepreneurship in different areas, the State government plans to open new incubation centers in Warangal and Nalgonda. These centers will follow the model of Hyderabad’s T-Hub, according to Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
The Minister shared that this plan is part of a broader goal to make Telangana a center for innovation and a leader in purposeful pharmacy, where science and human values come together for impactful innovation.
During the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Kakatiya University Pharma Alumni Association at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, Sridhar Babu announced upcoming agreements with Kakatiya University and Mahatma Gandhi University to establish these centers. He emphasized the importance of combining science with empathy to create innovations that benefit society. Telangana aims to develop a comprehensive life sciences ecosystem connecting research, markets, policies, and patient care.
In just 18 months, Telangana has secured over Rs 54,000 crore in new investments in the life sciences sector. Global companies like Eli Lilly are setting up operations in the State, showing confidence in Telangana’s forward-thinking policies. This growth is creating new job opportunities for the youth. Sridhar Babu noted that while machines can diagnose illnesses quickly, technology cannot replace human compassion. He encouraged non-resident Indian professionals to offer their expertise as “knowledge investors” to support India’s growth.
Speaking to young innovators, the Minister highlighted that history honors those who improve lives through their innovations, not just those who hold many patents.
