Private schools in Hyderabad are ignoring a government order about textbooks. The State School Education Department is taking action to fix the issue without disrupting students’ studies.

On the first day of school, it was discovered that Telugu textbooks and workbooks had a mistake in the preface. The mistake thanked former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his cabinet colleagues for their guidance. The department decided to remove and paste the preface page inside the cover so that important content like the Pledge, Vande Mataram, and National Anthem can still be seen. Over 25 lakh Telugu textbooks and 10 lakh workbooks were recalled and will be redistributed to students by Saturday.
