Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has refused to accept the two names recommended by the State Government for MLC posts under the Governor quota. In a letter to the State Chief Secretary, the Governor rejected the names of K Satyanarayana and Dasoju Sravan as MLC candidates. According to Tamilisai, the nominees do not possess the necessary qualifications in Literature, science, art, Cooperative movement, and social services that are required for an MLC under the Governor quota. This is not the first time the Governor has rejected a candidate, as she previously declined BRS leader P Kaushik Reddy’s name for not meeting the necessary qualifications.
