The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is launching new air-conditioned electric metro luxury buses on December 15. The first eight buses will operate on the Secunderabad-Patancheru route.
TSRTC MD, VC Sajjanar, announced the route on social media. The buses will run every 24 minutes and will travel from Secunderabad to Patancheru via Paradise, Boinpally, Balanagar, and Kukatpally. They will then return to Secunderabad on the same route. TSRTC encourages passengers to take advantage of this new service.
In September, TSRTC announced their plan to introduce a total of 50 ‘Green Metro Luxury’ electric buses in Hyderabad. The buses are 12 meters long and have modern amenities such as 35 seats, mobile charging facilities, reading lamps, panic buttons at every seat, and a vehicle tracking system connected to the TSRTC control room.
