Nagarkurnool, Telangana – A unique wedding in Telakapally mandal caught everyone’s attention when the groom made an unexpected demand before tying the knot.

Sai Kumar, a dedicated supporter of the Congress party, planned to marry Anusha, a resident of Peddakothapally mandal, on Friday morning. The ceremony was scheduled for 9:05 AM, and everything was ready for the big moment.

But just before the sacred thread, or thali, was to be tied, Sai Kumar shocked everyone. He refused to proceed unless Nagarkurnool MLA Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy was present at the wedding.

Guests and family members were stunned by the sudden request. However, Sai Kumar stood firm. He said the wedding wouldn’t go ahead without the MLA’s blessing.

Once the MLA arrived, Sai Kumar and Anusha completed their wedding rituals. The couple received blessings from Rajesh Reddy, and the joyful atmosphere returned.

Local villagers and party members praised the MLA’s quick response. They celebrated the moment with cheers and applause.

Many recalled Sai Kumar’s deep loyalty to the Congress party. After Rajesh Reddy won the MLA seat, Sai Kumar had walked barefoot on a padayatra to the Madimadugu Anjaneya Swamy temple as part of a vow.

The event highlighted both political loyalty and the emotional connection between leaders and their supporters in rural Telangana.
