The Telangana High Court has decided not to postpone the Group -1 prelims exam scheduled for June 11, 2023. A group of petitioners had asked for a two-month delay and a gap between exams. The Court heard the TSPSC paper leak case and will issue notices to the TSPSC Chairman and Secretary, as well as the State Government authorities to file a counter. The matter has been adjourned for four weeks.

During the hearing, counsel for petitioner Mr Srikanth argued that the TSPSC had shown diligence in conducting the examinations, but bigshots were involved in the paper leakage and the Government was trying to protect them. The matter was first listed in the High Court vacation bench comprising Justice K. Laxman, who recused himself due to his daughter being an aspirant for the TSPSC exam. The matter was then sent to Justice M. Laxman bench for further hearing.
