A constable in Gundlasingaram, Hanmakonda district, allegedly shot and killed his mother-in-law after a family dispute. The constable, named Prasad, works at Kotapalli Police Station in Mancherial District. The dispute was about money between his mother-in-law, Kamalamma, and him.
Prasad and his wife visited Gundlasingaram village, and during an argument over the money issue, he fired a gun and killed Kamalamma instantly. The family then attacked Prasad, causing him severe head injuries. He has been taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. More information about the incident is still being investigated by the police.
The police have filed a case and are currently looking into the matter.
