Head constable of Bhadrachalam washed away in drain

A female constable named P Sri Devi died tragically in Bhadrachalam due to a sudden change in weather. She was assigned the duty of providing security ahead of IT Minister KT Rama Rao’s visit to the area. During the afternoon, there was heavy rain accompanied by strong winds for about an hour. Sri Devi accidentally stepped on a drain and was washed away. Her body was found in the Godavari sluice and taken to a public hospital for an autopsy. Normally, she worked in Kothagudem. Due to the heavy rain, KT Rama Rao’s visit was cancelled.
