In the Alampur Constituency of Jogulamba Gadwal district, heavy rains have caused streams and water bodies to overflow. This has disrupted transportation and cut off several villages, especially in the Aija mandal and surrounding areas.

Congress Party State Spokesperson, Master Shekshawali Achari, spoke about the situation. He criticized the previous government for not making any progress over the last ten years. Achari pointed out that even though the government made plans, they did not build a single bridge in the area. He highlighted that Aija is an important mandal in the former Mahabubnagar district and serves as a key road link to three states. However, the construction of a crucial bridge over the Aija Pedda Vaagu has been neglected.

Achari accused government officials and real estate businessmen of stopping the bridge’s construction because they were worried it would hurt their real estate sales. Due to this negligence, even minor rains cause streams to overflow, bringing all transportation to a halt. This affects everyone, whether they need to visit the hospital, children going to school, or travelers heading to other states.

He urged the people of the Alampur constituency to think about these issues when they vote. He asked them to consider who is capable of solving these problems and who is not. Achari mentioned that if Congress candidate Sampath Kumar had won the recent election, he could have become an MLA and possibly a minister. Since the Congress party holds power at the state level, this might have brought a budget of Rs. 200 to 300 crores for developing the entire Alampur constituency.

Unfortunately, Sampath Kumar lost the election, and the current leaders are not addressing these issues. Achari assured the people that, win or lose, both he and former MLA Sampath Kumar would continue to prioritize the people’s concerns. He promised to push the state government to construct the Aija Pedda Vaagu bridge and other essential infrastructure in the Alampur constituency on behalf of Sampath Kumar.
