Hyderabad: Some areas in Adilabad, Nirmal, Khammam, and Suryapet districts experienced heavy rain on Saturday. Fortunately, there were no reports of property damage or injuries. To ensure safety, disaster management teams moved residents from low-lying regions in Nirmal and Khammam before the flooding could occur.

District Collectors, who were on high alert, sent disaster teams to villages affected by the morning rains. These teams kept a close watch on water levels in streams and other nearby water sources. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that light to moderate rain or thunderstorms will likely continue in many areas on Sunday. Heavy rainfall is expected in isolated regions such as Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Kamareddy districts in Telangana. Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 km/h) might occur in some parts of the state.
